Peninsula
Women's Health was founded in 1952, as the Jurow Group, by Harry Jurow,
M.D. In 1968, Dr. Jurow moved his practice from San Francisco to
Burlingame and re-named it Peninsula Women's Health, Inc. After
completing his residency at the University of Southern California,
Andrew Jurow, M.D., joined his father in the practice. Superior medical
care, given in an atmosphere of caring for the patient, enabled the
practice to grow quickly.
In 1985, Nell Stinson, M.D., joined the practice. Dr. Stinson is
bilingual in English-Spanish and has provided excellent and
compassionate care to her patients since joining the practice.
In 1990, Lisa Dyer, M.D., joined the practice. Dr. Dyer, along with Dr.
Andrew Jurow, were two of the first physicians to provide advanced
laparoscopic surgery to patients in San Mateo County. The technology and
techniques employed in the field of obstetrics and gynecology continue
to evolve. Our physicians have always remained current as to provide
patients with the least invasive medical procedures possible.
In 1999, Jacqueline Fletcher, M.D., joined the practice. She is an
excellent physician who provides outstanding care to her patients.
In 2000, Deborah Quinn-Chen, M.D., joined the practice. Like all
physicians in the practice, Dr. Quinn-Chen delivers outstanding patient
care. Dr. Quinn-Chen is also fluent in English and Spanish.
In 2007,
Peninsula Women's Health welcomed Rebecca Bol Dupont, M.D. to the
practice. Dr. Dupont brings with her 6 years experience in the fields of
obstetrics and gynecology.
Patient Care
Peninsula Women's Health prides itself in providing gynecologic and
obstetrical care. Included in our in-office services are gynecologic
procedures, infertility evaluation, treatment of
abnormal pap smears and treatments of menopausal symptoms. As a
recognized primary care practice, our full-time primary care, Physician
Assistant, Peggy Mahlstedt, has provided high quality care to our
patients for more than 17 years.
Peninsula Women's Health physicians practice exclusively at
Mills-Peninsula Hospitals in San Mateo and Burlingame. Both of these
hospitals are recognized locally and nationally as providing superior
patient
care. The Mills-Peninsula Hospital Group has been named in the top one
hundred hospitals in the nation for three years.
